Starter problem after stereo install.

I installed a stereo system in a 97 F-150 about a month ago. It was an amp, 4 6x8's and a head unit. Tonight the truck is showing symptoms of a bad starter and I was questioned about the install being a cause. I really cant see how but I wanted to get your opinions, because id feel bad if he bought a new starter and it wasnt that and it was something I did.

the only way it could be something u did is if u fubared the ground..or the battery terminals

double check the terminals and try to start the car w.o the stereo on see if it changes..if it doesnt it aint ur fault
