I have a '96 4.0 auto which when you start up after sitting overnight there is a slight squeak/groan which is hard to describe.It doesnt happen all the time after sitting I would say 50% of the time when it starts cold I was thinking the starter is starting to go bad. Car has 144k miles on the original starter. I was going to replace the starter and solenoid. Could this be the problem.
