I have a '93 Explorer sport with a 4.0 & auto trans. My son started it to move it to cut the grass and it wouldn't restart. The fuel pump didn't turn on so we jumped it at the test wire under the hood and got pressure at the fuel rail. It cranks but will not fire or start. We have replaced the main computer that is in the passenger kick panel but it didn't change anything. Any ideas? TIA, Mike

So you have fuel pressure because you jumped the test wire, correct? If you have fuel pressure, the next thing I would check for is spark. Are you getting any spark? Pull out a spark plug and keep it connected to the plug wire and have someone crank the engine and see if you see a spark on the spark plug. If you're getting spark, I'd focus on the fuel problem. It's got to be a problem of either lack of fuel or lack of spark....
