hi, i am a new member.i have a99 4x4 explorer and everytime u crank it keeps dying until it warms up .then it runs fine.any suggestions on what could be wrong with it?

sounds like your intake gaskets or a vacuum leak somewhere. is your check engine light on?
 






Ditto. My '99 work explorer did the exact same thing, it was vacuum leak.
 






SOHC? You probably need intake gaskets.
 






engine temperature sensor?

Do you have any diagnostic trouble codes?

You could have a bad engine temperature sensor that sends the data to the PCM. If the PCM doesn't know that the engine is cold it doesn't richen the fuel mixture accordingly.
 






Yeah, I would check the sensors and vacuum leak first as that should be fairly easy. Clean your IAC and MAF while you're at it if you haven't before.
