2008 Mazda cx9
My wife and I just Bought a 2015 Sport in Destin after her '08 Mazda CX-9 left us stranded in a parking lot. We were on our First day of Vacation from New Orleans with our 3 kids. We had just started looking for cars and mentioned we really don't need a vehicle and that hers were just cosmetically in bad shape and we can jump in and travel any where in it. I believe it was a dead battery that stranded us but after two Jump starts and limping to Advance Auto a few minutes away for a new battery and thought well this is a sign so we backed out of Advance Auto and drove straight across the street to a Ford dealer.

We bought a Silver '15 Sport with 5 miles on it and traded the CX9 in. Wife loved the car. We spent 2 more days enjoying the car till we started on our way back home to New Orleans. I think we put 70 miles around Destin. We stop in Ms with 300 miles on the odometer to fuel up. Afterwards we cranked the car and immediately notice no power steering and "Parking Assist Fault" illuminated on the dash. We limped back to New Orleans with no power steering on a vehicle with 300 miles on it. Two broke vehicles in one Vacation.

It doesn't seem to be a common problem but does any one know of Steering and Traction problems on the Explorers? We
