The shift gear wouldn't come out of park so a genius told me to force it back, and I did and now the gear shift broke off from the metal cylinder that attaches to the column that usually releases from gear. Every where I went, even the Ford dealer, tells me that the column parts are not sold separately that I have to replace the entire column. I found one for $200.00 and another for $300.00, but I have taken the thing apart and it seems that it is only a small piece that broke. Do I really have to put in a whole column or do you think I could find this one little part?
