I tried that CD2 engine degreaser and protectant, and what a difference! But after I started up the car later, when I turned the wheel it sounded and felt like something was rubbing. This morning I started it up and the wheel was turned a bit, and I heard this terrible squeeking noise. When I turned the wheel to straight, it stopped doing it. and the noise was barely hearable after that when I turned the wheel. I noticed the power steering filler cap and the plastic tube were a lot cleaner. Could degreaser have seaped into the power steering fluid causing the fluid to not do it's job? How do I drain the power steering fluid? Or is it something else?
Thanks.

My guess is you got that degreaser or some of the oily film it was pushing along onto the power steering pulley or the inner face of the serp belt. Then, when you loaded up the pump to turn, the belt was simplly slipping. Don't rush off and mess with your steering. If it stopped, you're OK, it rubbed off or dried. If still squeaking, you might want to wipe pulleys with alchohol.

The noise is gone now. Just wanted to make sure I didn't mess something up. Thanks
