I have a 1994 Ford Explorer and I was driving it to work when suddenly it decided to swerve to the left and I had to turn it to approximately 5 degree to the right to compensate for it. I then pulled over my brother-in-law and I could not find anything wrong with it. We continued off to work the steering wheel straightened out and it was fine. I have looked everything over the only thing I found is a slightly loose ball joint and a loose wheel bearing nothing to cause it to jerk left. Anyone got any clue as what could be wrong?

I'd fix the bad ball joint first and inspect everything else. Take a look at the RA bushings. Look for other loose ball joints and tie rod ends. It could be brakes if you had just hit the brakes?

We were actualy accelerating onto a highway.

I had same thing happen. Was a loose tie rod fwiw to any future readers.
