Hi All, this is a last ditch effort to see if anyone can help me I have a 2007 4.6 Ltd , I still can't gas the truck up without it taking about 30mins or if I unplug the purge valve line from the tank it gases up perfectly.

The problem is with the EVAP system somewhere, when gas goes in there is a block stopping the fumes and it just splashes back and I get a sucking from the small pipe connected to the filler pipe.

So far I have replaced : purge valve front of engine, PCM,
Vapor Canister (Charcoal) filter, fuel hose and vapor Canister Vent solenoid. As you can see I have really tried my best and I am just out of ideas now. Its odd that if I disconnect the purge valve from the tank side it gases up just fine but I have the EVAP engine management light on all the time too. So frustrating.

Is there anyone who might have a solution for this issue please?

Thank you so much

I suspect the fill neck vent tube is clogged. Small tube running alongside fill tube
I second,
it works when the hose tank side is disconnected, to confirm disconnect hose from where it goes (other side), if problem stays - clogged/kinked hose, if it fills with the other side of hose disconnected, then I would look elsewhere
(sorry haven't looked at any drawing, so this is just a guess)

Were you able to resolve this? I'm having the same issue. I replaced the valve and it didn't resolve it.

Yes I did it was self-inflicted. When the garage dropped the fuel tank they pinched a line between the chassis and the plastic tank, very annoying they didn't reroute the line correctly.
