stock amp?

my friend who's really into car audio was saying the stock amp for the explorer is strictly for the rear 6" sub. It that true?

If it is, does the rest of the HU put out 15x4?

If thats the case, I can get a good HU and do without a sub for a while.

i think you have two stock amps: one for the doors, and one for the sub.

mine came with just a stock amp for the doors and no subwoofer.

The standard stock amp is for the door speakers.

Does nobody read the reference to the X audio thread?

You have 1 amp for the 4 door speakers and if you have the rear sub (no storage area in rear right quater panel) you have a seperate amp for it
