Okay, I bought my explorer about a year ago,, kept the stock factory cd player in there,,, for about 3 weeks, worked perfectly,, then i put a aftermarket one in there, i bought a new vehicle and i wanted to put the factory ford back in there... so i put it back in there and there is no illumination.. the clock and radio station part lights up, but the buttons dont illuminate... is there a wire that i plug in the back of the radio? because as of now i onlly have 2 plugs going into it and the antenna?? is that correct.. what else could cause no illumination?

I have the same problem with my 96. The radio works fine, including the clock display. At night though I can't see the tuner buttons. Any ideas?
