STOCK EXPLORER! WHERE TO BEGIN?

It is louder...it is mostly noticable in stop and go driving, but once you get cruising on the highway the wind and road noise drowns it out. The noise is noticable, but not overbearing. Sometimes rear passangers ask how many holes are in my muffler, but they just don't appriciate the rumble of a high performance exhaust. I was told that the BHorla is the quietest high flow exhaust out there and I have been very happy. installation was a breeze and the pipes are stainless so they will not rust. It also has a lifetime warentee I think? I also notices performance and gas milage increases. It is a very good mod to do. good luck!

I would go Borla for exhaust. Its usually expensive, although their product are strong, and of great quality. I know some of the Borla systems for GTs and their expensice as hell but well worth the money.

I have a plan for it, at least for now.
First, get it to stop overheating.
Second, get the MAF so that the intake will be completed.
Third, get a stereo.
Fourth, get a radar detector (damn cops :shoot: , just kidding, the radar detector's enough for me)
Fifth, going back to performance mods, but I don't know what yet.

Why are you getting a K&N filter when you just bought the KKM intake? Just curious.

Steve

I posted that before I realized that the KKM system came with an S&B filter.

Anyone ever try one of these.

I have also seen ads for Tornado effect intakes in an offroad mag, but it didn't give any particulars on truck models.

i was told that thing is a hoax and that is does nothing...I have never used one though.

  1. Exhaust: need to get your exhaust maximized to allow air to get out as quickly as possible.
  2. Intake: Start getting more air into the engine
  3. Suspension: this is where my knowledge gives out but get a lift. all you power is useless if you can't clear small rocks.
  4. Wheels: Now with your lift get some good wheels to give your traction
  5. Looks: Now make it looks bad ass
    [/list=1]

    voila

oh yeah, you can go for looks first but if you bling it but can't bring it, you look stupid.

If that everything on that website is true, then it sounds like a good thing to have. I think I've seen something like that before somewhere, but I don't really remember anything about it.

the tornado is a hoax, although if you want to try it get back to me. id like to know much mad tyte power yo you gained word?

its a ricer mod.......all false sense of security

I specifically said "If everything that website said is true..." for that reason. Thought it might be. I think that time I saw it was at George's house when we were all laughing at it.

Man, reading this thread again is a reminder of all that I still have to do...:D

since my mom goes to all these bars with Joe, she has been telling them all about my needing a job and one said they could get me right in! I just need to wait till i have no more requirements then ill go see what they have in mind. this weekend im not sure if i get my dad to pay for painting im gonna take my bumper out to the dealership tomorow, its schedualled to arrive around 12, they should call me to tell me wether or not it was dropped off. if it is and i get my bumper into the paint shop, then i should have it by saturday which would mean bumper time! but thats cutting it close so that may not work out. eventually im gonna order my single chambers for my exhaust, they may come in next week. I think the jeep is on hold till We get georges Volvo put back together. but basically its a lack of money.

You're going to work at a bar? Don't you have to be 18 to serve alcohol?
