Anyone know where I could purchase the Stock floormats for a '96? I need the tan ones, and I called the dealer, and they said they no longer offer them.

I'd hate to have to get some ghetto pep boys/checker/kragen ones that dont fit right or match...

Let me know!

Have you checked on Ebay?? I know that they have a ton of floor mats available for my 2001 there, so if you haven't checked it out, I would.

Even if you were able to buy the Ford 1's they wouldn't fit right, they superceded the number to a newer number, and the 1's I had bough for mine never fit right.I'd just look for a good set of aftermarket 1's,take em out and see how they fit before you buy them.

If you buy aftermarket ones, get trimmable ones, so you can make them fit better. That's what I did for mine.

I bought some aftermarket ones for my Explorer 2 years ago that fit perfectly. The color match (tan) was great also. The front ones, even have "Explorer" embroidered in them. They are better quality than the OEM ones. I keep all my receipts, so I'm sure I still have the receipts from those floor mats. I'll look up where I bought them (on-line) and the price, when I get home this evening.

NewMike,

I looked through all of my receipts and could not find the receipt for the floormats. I apologize. I found every other receipt for every other thing I have done to Explorer. Maybe someone else here will know a source for oem style floormats.

Ahh bummer. Still looking...

I've always bought Husky Liners. They are custom fit and can hold about a gallon of water. They are great for dirt / sand / slush and keep your carpets clean. They make them for your year:

They come in tan too. Here is the main page: Click
