stock fog lights keep poping

ok i replaced my fog light 3 times with 899 bulb i checked with the book and its the right # so what is going on any one hade this happen befor any help will be good. :smoke: thanks : :fire:

Only if you let your fingers touch the bulbs. Your oil will cause them to bust prematurely.

Check to see if the fog has water in it. Mine was doing this and I found the fog light 1/4 full of water.

I'd say ditch those stocker and get some aftermarkets. I bought a pair of Pilot yellow fogs for $20 at Autozone. Works very well!!

i was thinking about that i picked up some pilots blue very bright for my 92 explorer.also i dont touch the bulb i now thats a way for it to pop but thanks i will look to see if it has any wather in it. thanks

good tip: if you happen to touch the glass just use some rubbing alcohol on a kleenex
and wipe gently - also even some vibrations can cause bulbs to short\
