Ok this is not about an explorer but its about a Ford Stock Radio so I'm sure you guys will have an answer...

I'm helpin my friend hook up a system in his 01' taurus and I was juss wondering if there was any type of RCA adaptor that I dont have to cut spekar wires and run it to the speakers , like are there any adaptors that juss plug into the back of the stock radio or no?

Anyone who has a system hooked up to a stock stereo, what type of adaptors did you use? Pics?

hey

Nope, You have to use a line out convertor to RCA cables with your stock HU. If he gets a new HU then his "system" will be a whole lot cleaner. It makes a huge difference. I have a friend that we just got done installing two JBL 12's... and he has his stock HU... When I compare that to the two 12's I have... Mine sounds soo much better. No comparison at all.
Just a thought.

I am using this 4 channel line out converter > VEN 4 . ($33@autotoys.com) It converts the 4 pair of speaker wires from the stock HU into 4 RCA outputs that can run to your amps. But know that if your amps have line level inputs you can run the stock HU speaker wires all the way back to your amp. No line level converter needed.
