stock sub enclosure

Well, I'm finally going to beef up my sound system, but I really dont want a box in the middle of my weekend condo (yeah i pretty much lived in my car for the last 4 days on the beach. loved it) so I need to know how big the stock gap is. Could I fit a 10"? I know its built for an 8" so depth might be a problem but I'd like to give it a shot.

Also, anyone know how to open up that sidepanel?

Well I decided to dig into the sidepanel myself and found that it would be pretty much impossible to remove the sub with out taking off the entire right rear sidepanel, not jus the one that covers the sub.

Screw that. Ill just buy a normal sub and box, but I dont want to let the stock setup go to waste, so is there any way I can set it up as a mid or something?

What Im asking is: If i buy another sub and get it set up, is there any way to set up the stock system to serve any purpose?
