I dont like projectors. Not enough light. Projectors focus all the light in front & down which is great in a heavy fog or snow storm. Since I dont usually drive in those conditions I want a light that also lights up the surrounding area. Also the projector reflector doesnt put out the same amount of light from a given bulb as does a reflector lense. Projectors suck lumens.
Something that fills in where the headlights dont. Good fogs (Hella, Catz, PIAA, KC ect.) have optics that focus to create a horizontal bar of light that is aimed lower that another drivers eyes but also have enough stray light to brighten the voids in the areas the headlights illuminate.

Does anyone with the projector fog lights have a pic of light output. I am also very interested in getting some. Or has anyone ever retorfited projectors in their fog lights? that I would think would work alot better but wouldnt have the halo unless someone knew where to buy them
The only projectors that I have put HID bulbs in are the Hella DE fogs and the PIAA 910 fogs.
The PIAAs sucked. There were 2 or 3 very dark areas in the beam pattern. Very uneven.
The Hellas are real good. No dark spots. A very even spread of light.
But the FET Catz MSR are still the best fogs I have found. They are marked L & R as the beam pattern is different for each light. They really illuminate the sides of the road as well as the front. Great beam cut off so I am able to run 100W bulbs with no flashes ever.
But sometimes space is limited and you can only do with what will fit.
On www.hidplanet.com many like the Blazer projector fog light w/HID. Check it out....
