Strange 4x4 problem

Here's a problem that I am encountering on my 2002 XLT.

My 4x4 lo & hi engage properly, Indicator lights work fine.

Problem is, as soon as I hit the accelerator it turns off the 4x4.

Even in park.

Has anyone come accross this issue?

I was having a similar issue with my '02. As soon as I reached 20mph it would take itself out of 4x4. I replaced the 4x4 control module and it is working fine.

I thought it might be the control module.

Just something about the switch engagin the 4x4 intiially made me think otherwise.

Some testing I have done so far.
-4x4 Auto works fine
-4x4 Hi lights, but when gas is pushed it foes out
-4x4 Lo lights, but when accerated, it goes out, but comes back on. Initall works

Just recently installed a car starter, and larger tires.

speed sensor maybe?
