Strange chirp noise?

While driving with my windows down, I keep hearing a chirp noise coming from outside my explorer somewhere. Sometimes I think I hear it when it shifts, but it does it other times too. Anybody know of some common things that chirp?

I know of at least one recent thread about the same thing. I believe the general consensus is the A/C system....

That makes sense. I'll turn it off and see if it still does it. Thanks!

If it's the same noise that I have, when the A/C is off, it doesn't do it. Like I said, there is another thread where they talked about some simple fixes, but I'm about to head out the door, should just be able to search for "Chirp" in the "search this forum". It was only a few days ago, so it shouldn't be hard to find. Good luck! One of these days I'll get up the gumption to do something about it too, lol...
