I had my new tires (31x10.5 BFG AT) installed on tuesday. Wednesday the dealer replaced the right upper ball joint. I have noticed the driver side tire sounds like it is rubbing when I turn the wheel to the LEFT, but ONLY when going in REVERSE. When moving forward it can go full lock and not rub. It can go full lock when turned right in reverse and not rub. I had it aligned and the specs are good. I noticed this before it was aligned and now afterwards. I checked it earlier and did not see the tire touching anything when I turned it. Could this be a problem with the tire itself or something else. All and any help would be greatly appreciated. I love having 31's, but is this rubbing something to worry about or just new tires "breaking in".

my truck does that exactly but i am lowered. It will only rub on the drivers side turning in reverse. Is there any marks that looks like it might be rubbing?

My LMTD does the exact same thing...........never really concerned myself with it.

If you think it's rubbing metal than trim it. Otherwise ignore it ;)

I found the rubbing. It was on the lower corner of the front bumper. The bumper looks to sit in further on one side than the other. My friend is coming over to help re adjust it (he works at a body shop), so hopefully this will take care of the problem.
