I have stripped the threads while installing a relief valve behind the A/C compressor. Will a helicoil repair this? How do I determine the size?

On the back of the compressor is an aluminum part that connects the high and low pressure hoses. This part will unbolt from the rear of the compressor. On top of this aluminum housing are two pressure valves (brass). I have stripped the high pressure side. The threads on the brass relief valve are good. The threads inside the housing are messed up. Tried to tap with no good results. The brass relief valve will not tighten.
