hi guys, this is my first post. just wana say a warm hello and what an awesome forum you guys have got here.
anyways if danman89 is still having probs and is going to have to have his t case looked at or replaced, feel free to pm me if you want help.
not by any means am i saying your prob was/ is the same as mine was, however i did have similar symptoms.
i have (about a month ago) finished rebuilding my 4405 transfer case. (checking everything, repairing what was needed and replacing all bearings and seals.
the end result for all you guys that arent mechanics/fitters, is if your confident to have a go yourself it is well worth the effort tackling some things yourself. (not everything though. lol)
and can save a heck of a lot of money. and if its already stuffed what do you have to lose.
although i had already completed my rebuild, i have since found a post by "glacier991" who has gone to a lot of effort posting an excellent rebuild diary of the 4405 t case with photos etc.
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182071
on closing i just want to make it understood that i do not want to step on any ones toes here as i am only a new member, i just want to offer help if people want it. you can pm me if you want. no worries.
cheers
