Stupid??? question about front hubs.

I went to replace the front hubs on my '02 XLT 2WD - had whells, brakes off, ABS unhooked - but when I went to loosen the bolts that hold the hub on, I noticed something protruding out of the flange in the hub that spun with the bolt when I tried to loosen it. I swear it looks like it has a head on it, but nothing I have fits on it. Am I stupid and just seeing the end of the bolt turning?? I've not seen one this long that goes that far through the flange before. I really don't want to have to take it to the dealer, but don't want to screw anything up and make it worse.

Sorry - I put everything back together so I could drive it. Just gonna take it to the dealer.

The bolt does stick through the other side, its like 4inches long. Usually you see threads sticking through - 3 of them.
