Okay, so I stopped to get gas tonight, and the wind is gusting very badly. I open my door, and the wind catches it, and it flys open at a high rate of speed. It didn't hit anything, thank god, but when I went to close it, it wouldn't shut!!!

I had to literally slam the door to get it to close all the way!!! :(

Apparently the door flew open so fast that something got bent???

How would I fix this??? I know that it is something I can NOT live with, so I will have to do whatever it takes.

Thanks for any help you can give me

Looks like the hinges or the door frame or both are bent. In that case you have to do a "wallet harakiri" and take the X to a shop for repairs.

Good luck!:chug:

Yup. Hyperextended your hinges.
No easy fix.
I see two new hinges in your future.
Sorry man.

Ouch!

Take a look in their with a flashlight and look at the hinges. See if they are jacked.....

I know on earlier Explorer's it required removing the fenders and even part of the dash to get at those suckers.........labor intensive job re-hanging a door like that.........
