I have a 2003 Explorer XLT. I have rear a/c controls and a 3rd seat. I bought the truck used so I am trying to see if there is a place to put a subwoofer. I see 2 vents that are relatively small on both sides in the back and 1 larger looking vent on the driver's side under the smaller vent. Is this a place where a sub could go, or do I have to go the route of a sub box in the back or under a seat?

I think both MTX and JL Audio make a nice enclosure for it. I'd do some checking in the audio systems forum here and see about it. I remember reading quite a few threads about this.

Fortunately for me, the Eddie Bauer comes with a factory sub. It pounds good enough to keep me happy, so I have no reason to upgrade. I was really quite surprised at how much punch this little guy delivers. It looks to only be a 6x9...At least that's roughly how big the opening is. Never had it apart. It packs a pleasing amount of punch for its small size.
