I recently found some rust under my trim when i took it off. most of it pretty bad. I don't have the tools or supplies to fix it with metal. So here's what i did. It's a post from my registry.

Main question is this is sufficient for the winter, there's a lot of salt on the roads in Jersey when it starts snowing, i'm worried about it getting a lot worse.
Is there something else i should do? or will i be okay until summer when i can find a welder and supplies to fix it for real?
Thanks,
Justin
