Suggestions on lift

By the way, I don't know of a 2" suspension lift for the 2nd Gen X. Was that price for a body lift? If so, they were really trying to take advantage of you!

I don't think there is a 2" susp. lift for 2nd gen... other than torsion twist up front and AAL in the back....... but that's like 1 to 1.5" of lift...

there is a 2" susp. lift from Skyjacker but it's for a 1st gen... it might not be full 2" either cause it uses AAL in the back. On 1st gen. you could combine this with 1.5" spacers up front and longer shackles in the back for a total of like 3-4 inches of lift.... but not on 2nd gen... with IFS

:D

is that clear?

I know that they don't make a 2" for the 2nd gen...that's why I am thinking they are talking body lift. Or else, they were going to crank the torsion bars and throw in an add-a-leaf and say that they installed a lift.

I don't want him to get ripped off paying a ton of money for a 2"bl or a TT.

Actually, Dre, you can get 2" from the TT, but the CV boots bind too much on themselves and make horrible noises... not to mention that they will eventually destroy themselves! That is what led me to put on a real suspension lift.

If you're a serious off-roader I wouldn't put a lift on it at all... replace front suspension with a straight axle and work from there...

cost??? probably the same as the 4" lift - complete.
