How much are you looking to spend? What are you looking to get out of the system? What kind of music do you listen to? Are you going to do the install yourself?

looking for a reliable and low cost system, nothing state of the art or top of the line, the more basic system that still has a kick to it, i dont want my bass to warp my chasis because i dont really listen to rap or hip hop, im more of a rock kind of guy

You can add a subwoofer in the stock place.

Here are pics of my old one that I sold to FROADER, and my new one. I think FROADER is powering his with the stock amp, I am powering mine with an Alpine MRV-100M amp.

Keep in mind that both of our OEM enclosures were modded to fit these. The rest of my system is stock.

There are aftermarket enclosure available, both powered and non-powered.

i have a 96' and i just replaced the factory head unit with a pioneer Deh-1400 and then 4 pioneer speakers int eh doors and it sounds great. Total it cost me about 200-250 bucks.
