Sunvisor Monitors Installed!!!

Here I the sunvisors I got on Wednesday and I installed them Wednesday Night. They are 5.6 " they have a great picture. Let me know if anyone has any questions about installing them. There on Page 2.

Thanks, and yeah i installed them myself. They are really not that expensive. They turned out good though and you cant see any wires.

Thanks, The install is pretty simple. I used a dremel to cut the suvisor whole bigger and then i connected, soldered, and heatshrank the power and groud. Then i screwed down the shroud with 1/4" screws. One in Each corner. Finally they give you a video cord that is about 5 inches long. Well i cut it in the middle and spliced it with some headphone wire so it would not be seen to the naked eye unless you really look. After i did that i tested the monitor and everything worked great. Then you have to put the monitor in the shroud. Well the thing is that it just sits in the shroud there is no locking things or anything it snaps in. So i took velcrow and put it on the botton and top of the shroud, then put my monitor in and then put the cover plate on it. The velcro made it a real tight fit where the monitors wouldnt move. I went through this installation with the intentions of not using any epoxy or glue. Then I buttoned everythign up and they worked Great. They are Power Acoustick 5.6"

I need to say that what you have done to your ex is simply SUPERB!

You are a genuis to carry out such a great install, with pro results, I love the displays and PS2 etc, how did you make up the speaker ports for the floor?
Is it custom?

We have no such parts available here in the UK as Ford look at you like you arrived in a flying saucer when you drive into them for anything, and if you can get a part you need- Man you will pay heavy!

Keep up the GREAT work, check out some of mine, its not upto your standard but I will keep trying.

Yeah I got the guages off ebay but they came from procarparts.com. They are just Reverse Indiglo Guages. I have seen numerous Explorers with these in them. Also procarparts is a great place to get factory foglights for our explorers. I think the dealership wanted 90 for 1 and i got 2 for 95 and maybe they have went down since then.

Yeah I ordered those off of Sounddomain.com. As you can see if you have tan leather the color really doesnt match all to well. But you have to bend the parking brake or do like i did and take it completly out. They were 139.99 I think. I order pretty much everything through sounddomain they are a great company with good prices.
