Little confused over here. I thought someone had a problem with a SVT Focus pump on the 4.0 SOHC

The 02 uses a pwm pump whereas the older style (up to 2001) used return style (some use what was called returnless, but the regulator was located in the tank. So it wasn't a true returnless with PWM!) You can use a Focus style pump in a pwm style setup, will work... But in the earlier style (2001 and down) I wouldn't recommend it. The Focus pump is not designed to be run at 100% duty cycle and doesn't have any checks in it so the fuel is drained back and hard starting in all application and fuel pressure loss is the result in blown apps. Stay away from FMU's. Period! They suck... Good hardware (injectors and pump) and tuning will be more stable.

Lincoln Aviator pumps flow more than Focus pumps

Damn, man, thats awsome, tell me you didn't build that in front of your apartment? LOL.

Yup. If only I had a garage. Anyone want to donate thier garage and assistance for future upgrades?

This is how the X looks right now. (Minus upgraded 3" intake tube, batterys in the camera is dead or else I would have posted the new engine bay)

how much is it lowered? What size rims?

2in lowering blocks in the rear and torsion twist up front. With 17in BSA's wrapped with 275/60/17 Kuhmo Ecsta STX

let me know when you need the garage, your more than welcome to use it if I'm home.

PS, Ohiocustomz is having a small meet this sunday, you should bring that beast if your available. check out our site if you are interested www.ohiocustomz.com

So rocket and jah. What fuel pump would you recommend? What are you using?
As far as injectors Im looking around 30/36lb injectors. Your thoughts?

looks very clean man !

Have you contacted Ron Caster at all? He usually emailed me within an hour

Though the Focus pump was not intended to run 100% duty cycle it still can be used that way. Most returnless pumps can be run either returnless or return. Return pumps can only be ran in return due them them not being able to handle variable voltages and speeds (gerotor vs. turbine pumps). There are a couple good options out there. The only problem with running a Focus pump in return setup is that they have a pressure relief pop-off which sometimes causes slight problem with higher pressure fuel systems. I forget what psi it does it at though. There are a few options for fuel pumps available for returnless people (Ford GT (supercar), GT500, 03/04 Cobra, Aviator, Focus) All can be made to work; some with less minor alterations than others. If it were me upgrading my returnless pump I would go with a Ford GT pump because they are surprisingly cheap and flow craptons of fuel. If you do go with the GT pump you will need to replace the stock plastic intank fuel hose with 3/8" submersible fuel hose so as to fit the GT pumps top hose-barb nipple tightly enough.

It depends on what kind of power you want to make. The GT supercar pump will flow the most to support the most power. A single 03/04 Cobra pump will probably be most easy to drop in.

You don't want to know what I am using!!! I am running dual Ford GT supercar pumps setup in custom return configuration which will easily support 1,000+ horsepower.

As for injectors, I cannot recommend anything too specific until I know what your injector electrical harness clips look like. For some reason I think they are still EV1's (bigger boxxier) instead of the newer EV6's (smaller, more round-ish). Once that is determined then I might be able to reccomend which vehicle you could pull a used set of injectors out of so as to save a little money.

The truck looks exactly like mine sept for the rims and supercharger and so on. I'm freaking jealous. I hope the best for you and hope to look like this under the hood in the next year.

Good work!

Looks good. I've already ordered my fuel pump from work. And I've been watching eBay waiting for a deal to pop up.

Out of curiosity, what size/type of tires are you running, and do they rub? I'm lowered 2/3, with 1.25" front spacers, and 265/70/17, and the rubbing is insane, so I'm wanting to go a little smaller for the next set of tires.

with 1.25 Spacers up front and 2 spacers in the rear. no rubbing at full turn.

I have seen the beast and it is awsome. All of the guys in my local club were amazed. One quote as Kabukie left was "Oh, My God! That is one bad a$$ sleeper!"

Thanks for inviting me out. You'll definantly have to let me know the next time anything goes on.

Thanks, looks like I'll be ordering those in a few weeks here, once I get my camber kit installed.
