supercharger is installed!!!

Then how was he even driving around in this?

I would say if you read the whole post it said that his vehicle was sitting in the yard. think of it as you are changing your tie rod end, you can get it really close, but without a alignment it will never be exact or be correct.

If i read the whole thing??maybe you should reread the whole thing.
not yet. The supercharger that I bought off ebay from amyk4422 was faulty. My mounty has been sitting in the yard waiting for a replacement. I got my new one in yesterday that hopefully can get put on today.

anyone else wanna answer my original questions?

Well excuse me, but anyone that knows the only way it would not need a tune is if it is carbureted.

That also completely wrong. a fuel injected car can adjust the a/f to a point till you need larger injectors or more fuel,a carb can not adjust at all,new jets are a must.

Ok, you asked about a tune. What ever helps you feel important!

The OP hasn't been on in years.this is a very old thread.i asked what and if there was a safe limit?i know its not recommended but whats limit with motoring is safe?

To beat an old thread,i find this very hard to believe!someone else said they was running a m90 with stock pulley(3psi) and also didn't tune.i thought a tune was a must for FI,is there a safe limit that you can run on stock tune?

FWIW I was running 9psi with a Vortech V-2 back when I had my 91 X. No tune, just ported heads, 422 cam, headers, 24# injectors, and a calibrated MAF...also a 190 lph mustang fuel pump.

I think part of the reason I got away with it was the intake air temp sensor was downstream of the blower....the air got hot enough that the computer would pull timing once the boost ramped up.

That was with stock compression though. JD, I think it would be best to try and keep the boost under 10psi. You'll have to play around and see if you get pinging when the boost ramps up...I think controlling knock is going to be one of the things you'll have to watch. Water/methanol works well for that from what I hear...and of course you can pull timing instead but that just means less power.
