I think it was -> no more than the $125 if you choose to get the chip first, then intake/exhaust mods, then send the chip back for the reprogramming ( at $125).
I ordered the stock chip, even with the exhaust stuff in mine. I guess I'll just have to do a few runs through the AZ Mountains without the chip, and then with. My grey pig can hardly get out of its own way when the temp hits 110. I'll be adding the KKM air filter when it gets here also. My old K&N flat filter fit nicely in my 95 3.8l DEATHStar.
something that might help you on those hot days is wrapping your exhaust system with thermo-crap, especially if you're getting a KKM. it'll just draw super-heated air off your motor and squash performance. every little bit helps.
What did they run you if I may ask? I think that might be my first mod with the chip. Where did you get then? Is this as easy as Pep Boys or is it a catalog thing.
Thanks for helping me out with all the terminalogy. One more thing, is it very noticable when you ping, or is it a guessing type of thing? (Cool rhyme). As far as the chip programing.. i am not going to do much more, free flwoing exaust, new gears, K&N is in the mail, and then splitfire wires. Pep-Boys has the wires, but they have to order them like a lot of things. I didn't get a price, but it is probably in excess of $50 because they seem to be a little more than what you can find on then net. AutoKrafters.com has them for $49.95 + shipping. I haven't had time to look anywhere else yet.
