I've decided to put a Superlift 5.5" on my 92 XLT along with 33" tires, and put Rancho 5000 shocks on as well. Does anybody have any suggestions? I want to make sure I wouldn't have to regear or anything. Thanks

I just finished with the Superlift 4" kit. All the parts were there and the included instruction made for a superb installation. If you'd like to see what it looks like go to Website & Forum Feedback - photo :exp: . I still have a little difference from the front and back, so I might get some shackles to lift the rear up a tad. Side note: Get some WD-40, shop towels and prepare to get sweaty and dirty! BUT, you'll love the results!:D

Got Lift?

I did the same lift & Tire combo. I went with the RS9000 shocks and love the adjustablity that they have. Also, Extended brake lines are a good option to add. And, the dropped pitman arm, can't remeber if that was an option or not. While it's down, go ahead and put new poly-don't-sqeek bushings ( will affect your caster if there about to wear out )on the radius arms. It's only $20.00 bucks or so.
Also, depending on how much your money tree has bloomed, while the front is down is the best time to add a locker up front. Save a little on maint & headache cost.

Good Luck and enjoy your ride!

aphsu, what do you mean by "I want to make sure I wouldn't have to regear or anything."??? With 33"s, you will need to, otherwise, you will have poor performance.

Assuming you have 3.73 gears now your engine will run at (65(mph)*3.73(gear)*336/30(tire size))= about 2715rpm, with the larger tires (65*3.73*336/33)=2470rpm This will cause your truck to run like a dog. Switching from a 3.73 to say a 4.11 you'd get (65*4.11*336/33)=2720rpm, which is very close to the original ratio which is what you want. For more info check outDead Link Removed. Hope this helps.
