Surco Rack

Not sure if this goes here or not. Oh well.

I want to know is when i order my surco rack (45 X 50), do i need to order anything else like rails or is it all included.

also i'm putting lights on there. do i need to order the light mounts or they already on there. sorry but the surco site really sucks.

please reply fast if ya got info for this b/c i need to put the rack on by friday b/c dad's paying for the lights to be put on and don't want to piss off him and have to pay for the lights getting installed or have to do them myself.

i havn't bought it yet man. Going to tomorrow or when i get then info i need liek if i neet the rail things. going to put a spaire tire up there aswell and a shovel and lock a Hi-Lift up there so so come on guys need INFO!!!!!!! i know ya'll know it so shaire.

I like roof racks,but I am thinking about buying a rear tire carrier with all that on there,the only bad thing it is alot more than 150

but thats just the basket. the tire carrier is more and ya have to pay 35 for the things so you can put into the fatory rails.

For the Surco Rack, I bought mine off of Perfomance Products. You can try and check out their site for answers. I forget about the rails, I think you have to by some, and the light mounts are sold sepately in pairs.

Ya, you have to buy the "legs" that mount to your factory rack and the tire carrier and everything else is separate too. You can mount your own shovel and Hi-Lift, just make some brackets or use U bolts. As for the lifts, make your own mounts... alittle bit of sheet metal and some bolts and you have the same thing that they make for half if not less.

ok so i need the legs, basket, light mounts, and shovel mount and i'll drill a hole through the basket to bolt the Hi-Lift to it so it will lock on there so i won't get stolen at school or in public.

Need a Rack?

I have a surco safari rack in the garage if you wish you buy a used one. It's fairly new and has two sets of light mounts (SR-LT100) and a set of factory rack mounts (SR-CH100). I think it is 45x60 but it could be 50x60. Have to check when I get home. Just a thought. Also, it has a set of 500's on it and a custom lockbox. Oh yeah, I also noticed that you are in W-S... we have a mountain house around there so the logistics may work out with ease. Email me if you want it.

forgot, what type hellas 500 are on there. fdriving or fog? will i get those if i buy the rack? and will iot mount to a actory rails. there not rails on your car.

OMG

I bought my Surco rack 3 years ago for about $85 on www.truckaccessories.com and that included the tire mount.... I would just leave out the stupid shovel carrier if I were you....not worth it....I lost the bolts and the brackets ....they comme off very easily.... heh? light mounts????? well you can just mount your lights right up to the rack.... drill the holes right into the rack...

i love my rack though....there is pleanty of room for the high lift up there depending on what size tire you have...be sure when you put on the tire mount you place it more towards the center if you have more than a 33" tire....

ok but i think i'm buying the rack from LowdPypes that includes 2 hella 500's, 4 light mounts, 4 mounting brackes, and 45 X 60 rack for $300. not bad deal on my behalf!

As some of you know, "blackbox" has been taken from an off-road truck to a street truck. Spending all my time beefing up the engine... I just don't need the rack anymore. It's in perfect condition. Check it out...
