What kinds of suspension lifts are best for a 93 xlt that are good for offroading but still let me use the ex as a daily driver? Hope to see some responses :) and can't seem to tear myself away from this site...Thanks and keep up the good help! :D

Welcome to the site :) There are many different suspension lifts for the 91-94 Explorer. Use the search feature and you will find TONS of info on this subject. Skyjacker had a 4" and 6" lift for the 4WD explorer but have just recently discontinued it. Skyjacker still has a 2" lift available. Superlift, Trailmaster, and James Duff also have lifts available and James Duff is going to release a 5 or 6" (I think) in the spring or summer.

Awesome, thanks for pointing me in the right direction as the web is hard to search for older models, now I have some headway! I appreciate it :) hope to have pictures soon of my baby!

dont forget Pro Comp , they also offer a 2" and a 4" suspension lift for 1st gens

i got a rough country 4" lift kit, it is perfect for on road and off road driving , and they might even be a little cheaper, but i heard that the skyjacker stage 2 is probably the best lift kit

skyjacker stage 2 is a 6" front lift for a ford ranger.... it does not have the rear lift stuff, however the rear can easily be lifted by doing an soa... tons of info on here about that... the superlift seems to always have problems with breaking or cracking the radius arm brackets, i would dtay away from them if possible.. the skyjaker stage 2 lift is supposed to be superior to anyone elses design though, however, that is also reflected in its price, sometimes being almost twice that of a lesser companies lift....

Thanks for all the info from everyone-I'll have pictures soon ! :D

hey guys, sorry to jack this thread but is there a lift that I can add on to an exsisting 6" suspension lift. I want to add 35" tires but need more clearance in my fenders. any ideas???

you have 6" of lift and still cant fit 35" tires? have you tried cutting the fenders or adding differnt offset wheels?

Well, I haven't actually tried just yet (still waiting for the 33"s to wear out) but the 33's just barely makes it on turns and when i go wheeling, the tires rubs on the fenders. Haven't cut the fenders yet either waiting for my flares before I do that. Any ideas or how-to's on cutting fenders and with what flares?

Trail Master 4" with 35s beat the hell out of it! I had the 35s on it before the rear glass. You can fit 35s on a 6" with minor trimming in the front and leave the rear alone.

BKennedy has 35s with a 5.5 superlift. stock fenders with some trimming.

cool! is that the fenders for that baja i saw from fab tech or something? truck looks cool.

oh thats right! how wide are the 35's? does the fender cover the tire? Recon's a *****!!!

most 35s have a 12.5 inch width size, that varies from manufaturer, but the general 35" tire is a 35x12.5x15

from what notajp said the hanneman fiberglass fenders allow a lot more room then the perry's fenders...

do any of them come with the explorer white or do you have to paint them?

im at work now, i'll be done soon so I'll catch up with you guys later! Thanks guys!
