when you get a bouncy ride or a coil spring is broken

Nah its not a bouncy ride, its kinda ruff actually

rough as in? bottoming out over speed bumps, holes etc or just doesnt seem to flex?

Nahh not bottoming out, its not rlly flexing, its just a ruff ride, I would think the truck would dampen a bit of the bumps

miles? how long have you had it?

72,000 est- how many miles do you change the struts?

i have right under 100,000 and i got mine right under 70k and everything was strong and tight but where i live is crappy roads and millions of speed bumps ... without those factors i think mine would've lasted another 25k at least .... mine was very squishy/bouncy ... look up under there and see if they look new ... if you havent had it too long they might be new because mine rides like a rock with new kyb struts ...

Did you go the KYB-GR2 strut's ArmySoldier?

Hmm I see some rust and the rubber is a bit cracked

what rubber ? on the coil spring?

no problem lynchy ... i will say that the x feels alot more stable but with the lift combined it is a very rough ride ... ive only had them in for about 800 miles though

Cool mate, cheer's:thumbsup: One of the thread's I was reading a bloke said the lift contributed to a blown rear strut so I'm keeping that in mind for my lift, just in case:rolleyes: He was running oem's with a fair few miles on them.

Check out struttek's as an easy replacement strut mate (spring and strut combo 1 piece)

yeah i just wanted to replace everything at the smae time to try and stop stuff like that from happening ... but if you can get a one piece strut cheap do it because the coil springs are not fun to get on and off (with a manual hand spring compressor not the table or pneumatic)

I would of looked at the struttek's as an option but I blew out and bought some 2" lift king springs (bugger!!!) Got them for a good price tho' ($285 for 4) I'm a lazy fokker so I'm getting me mate's suspension shop to do it (nice to have mate's in the business!) I'm looking forward to seeing someone do the struttek x 4 and BTF lift spacer's up front tho' (I've got some 1.5" roadbullies a mate gave me to go on top of the king's at the front.)

Quick question with suspension and lifting. I know if you run the spacers (2.25" front and 2.0"rear) you need new upper ball joints for the angle. Can you run the spacers and rachno quick lift? If so besides the new upper control arm with better ball joint what else would you replace?
thank you
"also if this is already answered in another post sorry for the question. couldn't find a straight answer I was looking for."

I don't think you can run lift spacer's with Rancho quick lift ( so I've heard) but I think you can with struttek and you wont need a new upper control arm just moog upper ball joint's part # k80008. Hope that help's.

At least moog upper ball joints ... If you plan to off road u will need the new a arms ... And no you cannot run both ... Besides the ranchos are crazy expensive and a lot of ppl don't like them

That should be all you need unless you need tp change other things

And sorry Eddie for taking over your thread
