Thanks for the quick response lynchy and armysoldier. I do plan on offroading, no point in buying a 4x4 if you can't take it off road. So for a sturdy off roading lift, go with spacers and new upper control arms. Anything else that might need to be redone? I just got my truck back from the shop this past friday, trans was rebuild, rear-end rebuilt(completely) and new wheel bearings all the way around.

Sound's sweet mate! (don't forget the ball joint's tho'! Mucho importante) And at this stage I can't point you towards any control arm's that will reduce the angle/stress the lift will put on the ball joint's, but they are a comin'.

Don't worry bout it! This is why the website is here!!! :)

Hey all, this is good info on this thread. I am looking to replace my suspension as it is "sagging" now.

I'm getting some OEM replacement but I see that "Army Soldier" has KYB's, do they give a smooth and comfortable ride?

The truck right now gives a very rough ride and wondering if it put the OEM on if it will be a lot better or should I opt for the KYB?

kybs have lifetime warranty ... and they seem to be stiff but ive only had em on for about 800 miles ... so they arent broke in yet ... but whats the price for oems?

Thanks Soldier, I live up in Toronto, Canada so prices are a bit higher however I am getting the OEM replacements for $200 a piece.

That is the whole unit.

just kyb struts are 325 shipped but without coil springs

ohh that is a bit out of my range but i'll work on my contact at the auto store.

Thanks again

its 325 for all four

Here's the part #'s for 3rd gen's, if anyone want's them.

kyb gr2 struts rear part# 341327
kyb mounting bushing front and rear part# SM5391 (uppers)
kyb gr2 front part# 341419 (2004-05) kyb gr-2 front part# 341326 (2002-03)

EDIT: Bugger!!!! I left the 7 of the first time! Sorry! It's corrected now, the above part number's are sweet.

i got kyb on my ex...with the ground force lowering springs...truck rides rough because the strut is stiff but handles awesome...

Thanks. $325usd for 4 is not bad. Thanks for posting the part numbers
