Has anyone swaped the '95 independant front end, with a 1st generation Explorer rfont end? Is the frame basically the same? If any one has done this what all is involved? If I do change my '95 front suspention to '94 or older front suspention will a lift kit for a 1st generation work with the rear suspention? Any input on this would be great. Thanx, Shane C.

The frame is different up front between 94 and 95. For the work involved, cost of conversion parts, and the cost of an added lift, it would be better to just do a solid axle swap (SAS).

I second that. After you buy all the stock first gen parts you need, plus the lift kit and all the needed accessories it will have been just the same to do a SAS.

Why don't you just want to use a 4" suspension kit for the IFS?

If you're going to be doing hardcore wheeling, you'll be waaaaay better off going to a solid axle, like Alec said, instead of the TTB.
