Swaping Gas tanks

Ok. I have roughly a 3000-mile trip ahead of me. Now with my 17 Gallon tank and 33" tires. I will up almost every 185 miles.

I need to find a way to get a bigger tank under my Sport. Has anyone swapped in a bigger tank? From a 4 door or anything else?

Any info would be GREAT! Thanks!

I don't know but if they'll swap I have a gas tank from a '99 4 door ready to ship. Comes with the pump too.

A 4 door tank will not fit into a 2 door in the stock location.

However, I'd be interested in taking that tank and putting it in my spare tire location. Any idea if it would fit? And how much do you want for the assembly?

Alec.. the 4 door tank is approx 55"x17"x9" while the spare tire area is only 36"x26". So I think its a lost cause..
