So I had everything off my truck and some down time and I decided it was as good of time as ever to get my crossmember re-done the way I thought it should be. The one I built for test-fitting held up on some heavy duty wheeling but would probably fail.
I used mis-alaignment bushings now on the heim and have a lot beefier tubing. I took this to a welding shop and he did all the cuts and welding for $150. I think it was well worth it based on the outcome.
you can see steel was much thicker and it looks prettier.
