I heard that when applying swirl remover to move in a straight line from the front of the vehicle to the back instead of circular motions......is this what will remove my swirl marks??? If not what does?

Right, straight lines. First rub it out one way, then 90 deg to the first way.

If you can afford it, I say you pick up a Porter Cable Orbital Polisher, it makes getting swirl marks out about 80% easier, and much quicker.

I primarily use Meguiars #9, but my cars are light colored and the hand wash I use hardly ever scratches so its fine for the light duty use. The 3M Finnesse product gets good press.

so you are saying that if i apply it front to back, that i should buff it off top to bottom?

Apply going both directions.
