I'm wondering what kind of switches that the folks who have done the BWM have?

I currently have mine with a switch in it, but it's just tucked in the glove box for now, was wanting some input on whether an illuminated switch would be ok (don't want 12v back feeding into something that it shouldn't)..

I plan to lengthen the wires and place the switch somewhere closer to the driver side so it can be accessed w/o reaching across, taking eyes off the road etc.

Anyone..?

Thanks :)

I've got an Illuminated switch for my BWM. I have a Mountaineer so it's auto 4W High so my switch is a splice in the front driveshaft clutch coil. I have the switch ran for OFF is 2WD and ON(Lit up) for the A4WD. It doesn't backfeed as it's one wire being interrupted and it's grounded out to the ground by the fuel inertia switch. The light pulses in brightness with how aggressive the signal is to the Clutch Coil but doesn't bother me. The switch itself, I mounted it in the dash to the right of the cluster right next to the nav system. Easy to hit when I need to but doesn't get in the way with the wheel

Nice...that's the setup I'm wanting to do..

Here's the mount position. Ran enough wire to comfortably go around the head unit and above the HVAC vent
