switch for power antenna

I got tired of my antenna going up and down whenever i turn the key. Most of the time i never listen to the radio anyway. Usually i'm listening to spotify or pandora through an aux port. So I put this switch in to turn off the antenna.

they were pictures of where i put the switch and my aux port. they show up when i view this. i'll post again though. I switched the blue and white wire coming out of the radio.

Thank you for the post. I was thinking of getting the cougar antenna up down switch for mine, saw one on ebay though that would work well as I am like you in the respect that I don't always listen to the radio but I do music on my usb and don't need the antenna up. Hooking it up that way, did it effect the amp at all? Thanks again.

everything seems to be working normal. I read that this was the antenna trigger wire so i thought i'd give it a shot. worst case was i soldered it back together. It has been working great.
