What is "the stickies"?

A sticky is a thread that is pinned to the top of a section, in this case in the transmission section. Every time somebody starts a thread, or adds a new post to an existing thread, that thread will get "bumped" up to the top, but not to the very top of the page. The top is an area which the "sticky" threads are located. Sometimes you will see somebody just reply with the word "bump". That will raise a regular thread to the middle, but not the very top. According to the forum's rules, you can't bump your own thread more than one time in a 24 hour period.
