well...........yes and no most flushes like that use the tranny pump to move fluid out while sucking fluid in at the same time so there is no damage to the tranny
I've seen it happen on more than one occasion...
I have also seen power flushers that have their own pump. And this does subject the seals to pressures that are out-of-spec. Most seals can handle it but older seals sometimes lose it.
