I have been trying unsuccessfully numerous times over the last year since I bought my 2017 Ex Platinum to get the Sync 3 to update from v2.3 to the latest v3.0.
Neither the wifi method OR the downloaded file on a USB drive worked to update it.
Since the Ex was at the dealer yesterday for its 1 year routine service I had them look into this annoying issue and try to get the Sync 3 to update.
I now have the latest version of the Sync 3 up and running.
Here is what they did under warranty (see pic)
