Probably won't ever happen. Not only is the architecture different, but Sync 4 is expecting a whole host of both different and additional sensor a data inputs. Might be possible on the 20+ with some hacking once the 24 MY is released (assuming it has Sync 4). But probably not ever going to be possible on the 5th gen. At least according to the CyanLabs crew.

I believe that Sync 4 is also just a stand-in for the time being until the switch is made to the Google based Andriod system.
