Sync questions

I have a 2008 Explorer that has the stock stereo system that offers connecting to your phone (has the button), but shoes now phone. I searched this in the owners manual and found that it doesn't have sync, how can I add this to my truck? Thank you for any help.

Sync is cool, but doesn't always work so well. It will not synchronize my phone, but it does with my wife's. They were bought in the same year. Mind you, they are old school flip phones (no jabs about our phones... I like them. I do not want a smart phone). Furthermore, the person on the other and cannot always hear so well. My blutooth hands free device seems to work
better.

Cool technology does not always work better.

Thank you for the insight on the sync. I completely understand your not wanting to change phones, I am a tech rep for T-Mobile and I don't like to change what work fine. I know some phones can't connect to the vehicles per the compatibility list from the manufacturer. I love my Ford's and got excited when I saw the option to connect my phone to it until I saw "no phone" when I pressed the button. I unfortunately can't use the hands free devices, they make my ears hurt.

Dear Robyn
If your car havnt a microsoft sync logo behind the gear stick, thats mean your car not loaded with this feature, furthermore you need from the radio to search for phone device. I am not sure if sync feature started before 2008.
If you like to have a similer system you can try some miror that came with bluetooth and camera and many features better than sync.

We have a 2008 Explorer which has Sync so it was out in that year. It is nice for the driver, but I find I have to shout so people on the other end can hear. You should have a separate sync manual.
