What is your opinion about Mobil 1 synthetic instead of synthetic blend ATF ?
What do you recommend instead of plain Mercon:
1) Mobil 1 Synthetic Mercon V:

3) Chevron (synthetic blend) Mercon V (renamed to Multy-Vehicle ATF):

3) Motorcraft (synthetic blend) Mercon-V (may be OEM Chevron Mercon V)?
p.s. Quote from E-C forum:
In fact, the description of the electronic controls for the CD4E reads the same as the 4R70W. It does about as much anticipation and adapting as the Dodo bird. It follows set shift line pressure, shift schedule, cold temp shift characteristics, TC clutch lockup, TC unlock/lock schedule, etc... that is set in the PCM. Once you reach a certain throttle position and vehicle speed, it shifts/locks/unlocks TC as necessary based on sensor input.
4R100s cannot use Mercon-V because the friction modifiers cause the TC clutches to fail. Synthetic Mercon can be used in the 4R100. The PTO part of the 4R100 is what "adapts"... there's no such option for the CD4E.
