I have about 163K miles on my truck right now, and am considering switching to synthetic, as I have been racking up the miles lately, and I want the extra protection etc. I am wondering if I switch it and it starts to leak, if I can switch back to Dino and have it stop leaking? I HATE oil leaks...

If you have changed the oil regularly in the past you shouldn't have a problem with synthetic, remember synthetic is just a premium dino oil.
The main reason why people have problems as the regular dino oil causes sludge which in turn can keep oil in, with synthetic, it has better cleaners and can wash the crud away.
If it does start to leak, I don't think that switching will stop the leak, as crud is formed over years.
You could always go up a viscosity if it starts to leak, I am running 0W30 in mine with no problems but that was from when the truck was new.
Try 5W30, then move to 10W30 if necessary.

Believe it or not, I had a small leak with dino, when I went to Amsoil, the leak stopped. Not what I was expecting, but I was happy.
